TVRA April Survey Responses

Building on the strong response we received from our March survey, we took the next steps to better understand what matters most to you.  April’s survey questions took a deeper dive into March’s survey results, which indicated your top priorities for ensuring the long-term success of our community are:

  • 59.6% – Affordability (POA dues, amenity & service fees)
  • 55.1% – Water & Sewer Infrastructure
  • 38.2% – Financial Security and Aesthetics & Environment (tie)

Affordability

In the category of affordability, the top 3 results indicate:

  • 60% – Keeping amenity fees affordable (golf, wellness center, etc.)
  • 54.7% – Value received for the cost of dues and fees
  • 52.6% – Ensuring services fees remain affordable (utilities, maintenance, etc.)

Water/Sewer Infrastructure

When asked, ” Which water and sewer infrastructure concerns are most important to you? (Select up to 3)”, you told us:

  • 74.7% – Aging infrastructure and need for repairs or replacement
  • 73.7% – Reliability of water supply (consistent pressure, no interruptions)
  • 64.2% – Cost of maintaining and upgrading infrastructure

Financial Security:

You told us the top 3 priorities associated with financial security are:

  • 60% – Responsible budgeting and spending by POA leadership
  • 58.9% – Long term financial planning for major infrastructure needs
  • 47.4% – Protecting property values

A&E

Since financial security and A&E tied for 3rd place in March’s survey, we included A&E in April’s survey questions as well.  You told us the following A&E topics are your top 3 priorities:

  • 76.8% – Preservation of natural beauty (trees, lake, green spaces)
  • 55.8% – Environmental protection (water quality, wildlife, conservation)
  • 53.7% – Managing overdevelopment & preserving open space

POA Leadership: 

When asked, “Based on your responses in this survey, which statement best reflects your level of confidence in current POA leadership (Board and staff) to address these concerns? (Select one)”

  • 57.9% – I believe POA leadership has made progress, but key concerns still lack clear direction or commitment.
  • 22.1% – I am confident that POA leadership is well prepared to address the concerns identified.
  • 20% – I’m concerned these issues may not be addressed, impacting the long-term quality and reputation of the community.

TVRA Membership value:  

What are your primary reasons for being a TVRA member?

  • 73.1% – I value the newsletter and community updates
  • 64.5% – I trust TVRA to address important topics affecting resident
  • 62.4% – I enjoy TVRA social events and gatherings

Of the 986 members who reviewed April’s online newsletter, 9.6% participated in the survey, resulting in 95 responses. While slightly below the typical 10–20% benchmark for survey response rates, this level of engagement is consistent with industry norms for newsletter-based surveys. These responses provide valuable insight into member priorities and help guide our ongoing efforts.
