The A&E committee strives to be a trusted resource for environmentally sound management practices for the POA and property owners.

To educate and encourage the residents and commercial establishments of Tellico Village in practices that promote the protection and sustainability of the flora, fauna, air and water in our natural environment.

  • Assess and document – existing natural attributes in Tellico Village.
  • Landscape Design – promote designs that preserve the rural, woodland character of Tellico Village (in accordance with the TVPOA “Blue Book”, page 34, dated 04/16/2025).
  • Lawns/Landscaping – champion best practices for use of automatic irrigation systems, fertilizer, herbicides and pesticides, use of native landscape shrubs and trees, and recommend environmentally sound methods to control plant and pet waste
  • Trees and Natural Vegetation – Introduce best practices that promote native, noninvasive and adaptive vegetation that enhances the natural environment. Promote best tree maintenance management and removal practices.
  • Rainwater Runoff – advocate and educate for improved storm water management.
  • Solid Waste Recycling/Disposal – promote reduction in use of products, reuse and recycling of items.
  • Energy Alternatives – provide education opportunities for alternative energy options such as solar and geothermal applications.
